Oh Say Can You She
Oh Say Can You She is an original children’s book written, designed, and illustrated by me.
While learning about Queen Hatshepsut (one of the few female Ancient Egyptian pharaohs) in a college history class, I realized my knowledge of women in history was severely lacking.
This is what led me to create an original children’s book on impactful women for my senior project. I approached the professor of my history class, and she was enthusiastic to help with the project.
I created the 54 page book in just 16 weeks during my Spring 2019 semester at Penn College. It is appropriate for children of all ages, yet mature enough for adult audiences.
